Picture Palace is a lamp that you can play with. It lights up a small room, and it also works like a tiny cinema for your nightstand or table.
Each lamp is handmade in Mumbai using an old animation trick: a striped overlay that makes drawings move. We've added a small improvement of our own. Slide a transparent film into the frame and switch on the soft LED light. Twelve hand-picked illustrations come alive as you swish the film back and forth.
Left alone, it's a gentle, glowing piece of art. Pick it up, and it becomes something to watch and enjoy up close. It also makes a thoughtful gift, something people can play with and discover for themselves.
This collection features twelve animations drawn from the butterflies of India - from the Blue Mormon of Maharashtra to the Malabar Banded Peacock. Witness these butterflies come to life with just your hands flick!

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Directions
To begin, connect the LED connector cable to the power adaptor. Take the viewer in your hands, select one of twelve artworks and holding it by its transparent tail - gently slide it into the console. This is an invitation to mindfulness: as you move the card with intention, a hidden mechanism transforms the still image into a vivid, hand-made optical illusion. The slower you move, the deeper the magic.
Artisanal Care
Our slides are crafted from double-coated acetate film for absolute clarity. To preserve their delicate beauty, please keep them away from direct sunlight and moisture. If you notice air bubbles, a simple, gentle roll of the slide will restore its surface. You can cut the tail end of the slides according to your desired length.
We are always here to help if you need any assistance.
