Picture Palace is a mini-cinema tabletop lamp that bring old, forgotten pictures back to life in your home. Each one is inspired by Ombro-cinéma, a French toy from the early 1900s, and uses barrier-grid animation, where a striped overlay makes a still drawing appear to move. Soft, modern LEDs light the frame.
Slide a transparent film into the lamp and swish it gently to watch the picture move. The images come from rare archives and glow softly in the frame. Made for grown-ups who like to play, it's a hands-on way to slow down and enjoy something analog.
